As the 2010 Festival approaches we are looking forward to a very busy long weekend with lots of new events. The Theme for 2010 is a "Touch of Hong Kong" with the famous Hong Lok Chinese Lion Dancers performing in various locations.
We have lots of Fungus Forays, Childrens Events and Walks during the day and a variety of entertainment in the evenings in Kinlochard, Aberfoyle and Gartmore.
Jazz Dinner, Whisky Tasting, Ceilidh Nights, Chinese banquet, Tai Chi, Antiques Roadshow, Craft Fair, Cookery Demonstrations, FREE Family Barbeque, Learn Ceilidh Dancing class, Outdoor Bowling Competition and a Chinese Emporium are all on the programme which has something happening all day everyday, no matter the weather.
The all day Craft Fair and Antiques Roadshow will take place in The Forth Inn Aberfoyle and we have some wonderful products on sale from local craft workers and artists. Strathart will also be holding a exhibition of artists in the Memorial Hall in Aberfoyle.
The David Marshall Lodge is the venue for the "Kowloon Kids Klub" where all day events will be laid on for the children with walks in the forest with the Festival Rangers.
The Mushroom Photography Competition is running so send us you photos before 17th Oct and you could win an all inclusive 2 day break in the Trossachs plus 2 days photograpy tuition included. Childrens entries are most welcome and there is a £50 prize for the best childrens picture. The mushrooms are everywhere at the minute and the variety is huge so get into the woods and take some pictures!!
The Crafty Raft Race in Kinlochard promises to be fun when teams compete to build and race an improvised raft so come along and watch the water antics.
The Scottish Wool Centre is holding a FREE family barbeque on Sat and Sun so join in and get the kids fed for free, whilst you browse around the shop as they have some great discounts especially for the festival weekend.

Tickets can be posted to you or collected from The Trossachs Discovery Centre in Aberfoyle when you arrive.
