Latest News from The Mushroom Festival
The Mushroom Festival kicks off on Thursday until Sunday this weekend in and around the Trossachs villages of Aberfoyle, Kinlochard & Gartmore.
Autumn in the Trossachs is most peoples favourite time of the year (no midges!!) - the colours are amazing and the air is so crisp and clean.
Every year the festival has a country as its theme, and this year it is a taste of Hong Kong with the famous award winning Hong Lok Dragon & Lion Dancers!
This year's festival also has all of the following:
- Whisky tastings
- Chinese cookery emporium in Hong Kong House
- Chinese Banquets & free family BBQ's
- An Antiques Roadshow
- Dancing to live Jazz/Blues band & Glengoyne Whisky Dinner
- Craft Fair with lots of unique products
- Ceilidh Dances & Classes
- Tai Chi & Taekwando Demonstrations
- All day fun at the Kowloon Kids Club
- Cookery Demonstrations
- Stratharts Exhibition
- Bowling Bonanza
and the hugely popular Mushroom forays and walks.
The bunting is up, the chinese lanterns have been bought, the Dragon & Lion Dancers are warming up and Mother Nature is putting on a beautiful display! All the usual Aberfoyle attractions are open including Go Ape, the Scottish Wool Centre, pubs shops and cafes, and if you looking for a room check out the accommodation page on the website at www.mushroomfestival.co.uk.

Tickets for the main evening events are available on line HERE and some places are still available for some events.
So pack up your things and the kids and come along for a day or for the weekend and join in the fun as that is what the Festival is about.
Hope to see you there
