Ceilidh Nights at The Mushroom Festival

Ceilidh DancingDuring the festival we are holding several Ceilidh Nights with entertainment by the Hong Lok Lion Dancers and music provided by the Kinlochard Ceilidh Band.

Cantonese Ceilidh at MacGregor's Barn Ledard Kinlochard - Fri 22nd Oct 7.30pm

MacGregor's Bard KinlochardJoin locals and the Chinese community from Stirling in the 17th Century MacGregor’s Barn at Ledard Farm, Kinlochard for the best of Chinese food followed by a ceilidh dance featuring the Kinlochard Ceilidh Band.  Dress is very informal. 

Only 50 tickets available –first come first served!

Ceilidhs at the Black Bull Gartmore - Sat 23rd Oct and Sun 24th October

The Black Bull Hotel GartmoreThe Black Bull Hotel in the lovely village of Gartmore is the venue for a George Law of the Imperial Restaurant in StirlingCeiliidh dance on Sat 23rd Oct. The evening wiil consist of a Chinese Banquet cooked and prepared by chef George Law and his team from the Imperial Restaurant in Stirling.

The meal will be followed by a demonstration by the Hong Lok Chinese Lion and Dragon Dancers who competed in the  2010 World  Lion and Dragon Dance championships in Kong Kong and have competed in other events around the world. This is a spectatcular event to watch when 2 dancers work in unison to dance on top of a set of poles to the sound of Chinese music.

The festivities will continue with a demonstration of Tai Chi by George Law when you will be most welcome to join in with the movements.

Then onto the music of the Kinlochard Ceilidh Band who will lead you through the steps of all your favourite Scottish dances, from Dashing White Sargeants to Strip the Willow.This will be another great night and tickets are available to book on-line in advance to avoid disappointment.

The cost for the Ceilidh Night is £22.50 per person including dinner and entertainment and can be booked on-line.

Final Fling - Sun 24th Oct 8pm

The Black Bull is also the venue for the Final Fling on Sun 24th Oct, an ad-hoc ceilidh with local musicians and a great buffet meal. This event starts at 8pm until midnight and will be a great finish to the festival for visitors and locals to join in the fun.

Cost per person £10.
