Programme for the 2010 Trossachs Mushroom Festival. - 21st Oct - 24th Oct

This year the festival is set to one of the best so far with lots of new events including:

Below is the 4 day programme for the festival with all the events and venues. New for this year is the ability to book the main events on-line and all major credit cards will be accepted. Some events are very popular and advance booking is always recommended to avoid disappointment. So  set a  date in your diary for October and we hope to see you at the Trossachs Mushroom Festival. 

Thursday 21st October

19.00-until late Forth Inn Aberfoyle- The Grand Opening Night with a Chinese meal and fun entertainment including Martial Arts, Tai Chi, Fire Poi and settting off Chinese Lanterns. A great start to the festival. Use the contact form to book your place. £10 per person

 

Friday 22nd October

10.00-17.00 All day Family Fungi Quiz at the Scottish Wool Centre; learn about fungi & their role in nature - easy walk. Free

Expert-led Fungus Foray: mycology in the living forest. Many new venues - Starts at various locations around Aberfoyle. 2 hours duration and much of this forest walking, so less suited for young children. Max 30 persons

11.00 Family fun-style up-close look at the forest floor with The Festival Ranger team. Starts from The David Marshall Lodge. Last about 90 minutes Free
13.00 Learn Ceilidh Dancing - Aberfoyle Bowling Club - family fun at the clubhouse with expert tuition £5 per person

Cantonese Ceilidh at McGregor’s Barn Ledard Farm Kinlochard. Sumptuous Chinese Food followed by a traditional ceilidh. A Chinese Scottish fusion event for everyone to meet, mingle and dance. Limit 50 tickets so advance bookings only. BYOB

19.30 Jazz and Whisky Tasting Dinner at the Forth Inn Aberfoyle. A sit down 4 course dinner with Jazz Band "Afterglow" with Whisky Tasting courtesy of Glengoyne Distillery. This promises to be a great night out. Tickets available on-line £17.50 per person
